now it's three in the morning and I'm trying to change your mind

top - amazon, skirt - new look (old), trainers - new balance via asos

I went shopping yesterday in Frankfurt and it was one of those days where I just could not decide what to wear! I ended up changing about 3 times and eventually was so rushed I just threw on these, took a quick photo and had to run for my train! I hate it when I have mornings like that!

I love the Arctic Monkeys and got this top a few weeks ago for cheap on amazon, the quality's reasonable for a cheap tee shirt and it's just a nice casual tee shirt that goes with everything. I've had this skater skirt for coming up to 2 years now. I got it from New Look for around £10-£12 and it's lasted so well, super comfy! I got these New Balance trainers last week from ASOS and I love them. I love that trainers are considered fashionable more and more nowadays as they're super comfy and light, makes shopping a lot easier in a comfy pair of shoes!

I lunched at Urban Kitchen and had the buffalo mozzarella salad which was gorgeous. The weather was so lovely yesterday, hence the no jacket look, 22 degrees and blazing sun! I'll leave a few pictures of my day below. Does anyone else love a chilled day shopping by yourself?

I picked up quite a few things in Frankfurt so if anyone wants me to do a haul, let me know in the comments down below!

Vienna Outfits!

dress - asos, pleather jacket - vero moda, belt - super old (can't remember), shoes - urban outfitters, earrings - forever 21

dress - asos, sunglasses - tk maxx, bag - primark, shoes - vans

top - asos, trousers - zara, boots - new look

I was in Vienna this past weekend to visit my best friend as she's studying there for a semester and had such a lovely time! It's such a beautiful city and I had such an amazing time, it was so lovely to see my friend after 3 months! Would recommend Vienna as a city break to all of you, so picturesque!

I had a total of 4 outfits but I was extremely hungover and tired on the Sunday and my outfit was very simple and casual so no photos were taken. The first outfit, I wore to travel in and then to a rooftop bar we went to when I arrived. I've had the pleather jacket for about 4 years now and I love it to bits, such a handy thing to have in your wardrobe!

The second outfit was for our full day of tourism on the Saturday, the weather was gorgeous so I didn't even need to wear a jacket (21 degrees!) I love the dress I got from asos in the sale after Christmas and it was super cool and comfy for a city break. I paired it with my vans as I needed super comfy shoes for the amount of walking I knew we'd be doing!

Finally, is my Saturday night outfit. We went to a club called Praterdome which was super cool and we had such a fun night. I don't really wear heels when I go out outside of the UK, it just doesn't seem to be the done thing, so I wore my cut out boots from New Look with this pair of leather look trousers which have navy lace detailing on them - you can't really see it properly (sorry!) I forgot to take photos on the night so had to just take these ones quickly with my phone yesterday! I love peplum tops and think they're super flattering so it was a no brainer with these trousers!

Unfortunately, it's back to reality now for me and with an essay deadline looming, the next few weeks are definitely not going to be very fun!

What do you like to wear on city breaks and what did you get up to on the weekend?

Style Inspiration: Sky Ferreira

In celebration of Sky Ferreira's long awaited debut album being released in the UK today, I thought I'd do a post featuring her edgy style. If you haven't heard of Sky Ferreira before, she's a 21 year old American singer/songwriter who's currently supporting Miley Cyrus on her Bangerz tour in the US. Her sound is synthpop/indie rock and her style is matching. I've been a Sky fan for nearly 5 years now so I'm so so excited that her debut album has finally been released in the UK after years in the making. It's called Night Time, My Time and is available to buy now.

Anyway, back to fashion. I love Sky's style, I think it suits her so well and fits with her music perfectly. It's quite grungy and she's not afraid to try out more daring pieces, something I admire. I selected a few high street picks which reminded me of Sky's style and that I would also love to buy myself!

L-R (top to bottom): leather look jacket £44.99 - New Look, cream mesh mini dress £25 - Topshop, denim jacket £55 - Urban Outfitters, yellow and blue kaleidoscope jumper £15.93 - Romwe, Vagabond lace up ankle boots £90 - Office, black pleated skirt £25 - Topshop

I adore every single one of these items and think they could all be mixed and matched together e.g. the cream dress, leather jacket and boots would make a really cool, untypical SS14 look. I love wearing certain boots in Spring/Summer with dresses and these ones are a pair I certainly would incorporate into my Summer wardrobe.

Who's your style inspiration at the minute?

February Favourites

L-R (top to bottom): Tigi Bed Head Glaze Haze Smoothing Serum - Feel Unique, Alice + Eliza Cherry Blossom Hand Cream - Marks & Spencers, Astor Soft Sensation Lip Butter in Va Va Voom - Astor, The Body Shop Body Butter in Passionfruit - The Body Shop, Garnier Micellar Water - Feel Unique, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Debenhams

This post is a bit late as we're well into March now and I was going to film a video with these but I've been so busy with uni work and actual work, I'm struggling to find time to film! So here are my February favourites - better late than never!

I cannot recommend the Tigi Bed Head Glaze Haze Smoothing Serum (what a mouthful!) enough. I got this back in January and have been using it after each hair wash - just a couple of pumps, rub it into my hand then run them through my hair and I've noticed a huge difference. My hair is so much shinier and softer when it's dried and doesn't have a fluffy texture like a lot of post-wash hair. It also smells like toffee sweets which is amazing. It's quite an oily texture and it is pricey at nearly £11 for such a small bottle but you only need a tiny amount each use and is definitely worth the spend!

I got the Alice + Eliza Hand Cream as a Christmas gift and have been loving it. I'm quite picky with hand creams as I hate one's that leave your hands feeling sticky and the cream just doesn't soak in. This one has been amazing though, smells lovely and has left my hands feeling super soft after use.

I'd never heard of the brand, Astor, until I came to Germany but I'm loving this lip butter. It's really nourishing on the lips and is a gorgeous deep red colour. It also smells like sweets, yummy! It was also an absolute bargain at 5/6€.

I'm a big fan of The Body Shop Body Butter but tend to always go for the same one's (mango mainly) so thought I'd try this passionfruit one. If you've never used these body butters, I suggest you give them a try as they're the best out there, in my opinion. They smell amazing and leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated. The Body Shop also offers a huge selection of scents to choose from.

The Garnier Micellar Water is a fairly new product to the UK high street. It's an extremely good dupe for the Bioderma one, which retails at over twice the price of this Garnier one. It's much softer than a toner and doesn't feel harsh on the skin so I'd really recommend this for anyone with sensitive skin! It removes make up and cleanses skin at the same time, leaving it feeling healthy and soft after use.

The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion isn't a new product for me, I've been using this since I was about 15 but I don't seem to rave about it enough. It's the best eyeshadow primer in my opinion and Urban Decay also do a wide selection of these including an anti aging one. It keeps my eyeshadow on all day and doesn't feel heavy or irritable like some eyeshadow primers. For me, this is a make up bag must.

Sugar Rush

Coat - thrifted £20 Jeans - Republic £30 (similar here) Boots - Boohoo £25 Top - American Apparel £7 Bag - ASOS £15

You know when you're not even shopping for clothes and you find something? That happened with this coat last weekend whilst I was at home. I was in a local craft shop, half of which is a vintage/thrift store (they literally have a few pieces on some rails - nothing fancy) and I spotted this coat out of the corner of my eye. I did a check to see if it had any marks or anything and it was absolutely fine. It's from Next but I'm not entirely sure how old it actually is. It was £20 and I've been on the look out for a pink Spring coat recently and this fit the bill perfectly!

I am completely in love with it, even better that I could purchase it in a size down due to my recent weight loss. All round fabulous purchase and I cannot stop wearing it with the sunny weather we're having at the minute in Germany, Spring has most definitely sprung!

Have you bought any thrift shop bargains recently?

What Does The Fox Say?

Smock Dress - ASOS Shoes - ASOS Tights - Primark

Before I begin, this post isn't about the song, I just thought I was being clever as my dress in this outfit post has foxes all over it (I know, I'm sad). The other night when I was home, I went out for a curry with my parents. Indian food is one thing I miss greatly about the UK, they don't really eat it over here in Germany :( so every time I'm home, we go for a curry and here's what I wore!

I stuck to my favourite fashion ensemble, monochrome. I got this smock dress in the ASOS sale after Christmas for £11. It's super baggy and comfy without being unflattering. I paired it with these cute monochrome pointed shoes that have a teeny tiny heel - perfect if you're not good with heels, like myself. They're really comfortable and I love the way they're split black and white down the middle. Seeing as it's still a bit chilly, despite the sun shining, I put a pair of tights on to complete this monochrome look. This look's very simple but I personally think the fox print on the dress and the contrast shoes do all the work and don't need much else to compliment them.

You may have noticed from these pictures, that I've had a complete hair re-style. I'd been debating having my hair cut to about collar bone length and a fringe for a while now so finally plucked up the courage and got it done. I absolutely love it and am so glad I went for a change. I'll leave a picture of it properly below for anyone that's remotely interested!

Mixed emotions about coming back to Germany, time at home just seems to go too quick sometimes! How was your weekend and are you looking forwards to SS14 fashion now that the sun is finally making an appearance?

Tom Odell Concert: What I Wore

Jeans - Urban Outfitters (similar here) Top - Forever 21 (old) Cardigan - Urban Outfitters (similar here) Boots - Boohoo Rings - Topshop Scrunchie - American Apparel Nail Varnish - Primark P.S. Love

Yesterday was a day I've been looking forwards to for months now, Tom Odell in concert. For those that may not know, Tom Odell is a British singer and is absolutely incredible - if you haven't heard his music before, definitely check him out! He was amazing live and I met him before the concert and he was just lovely! Super talented guy. The support act was also amazing, a man called Ryan Keen who was an extraordinary guitar player and singer. I'd definitely recommend you check him out, his set was mesmerizing!

Aaaaanyway, here's what I wore to the concert. I don't really like dressing up for concerts so opted for a more casual look (especially as I went straight from work.) I chose to wear these jeans rolled up at the ankle with a flat pair of chelsea boots, black tee and a thick plaid cardigan. I love 90s fashion, so opted to tie my hair half up half down with a velvet scrunchie I picked up at American Apparel. I then wore some stacked rings I got in a set from Topshop and some small hooped earrings. I love this Primark nail varnish, it applies really well, has a thick brush and is a perfect colour for Spring - oh, and it was only £1!

I love going to concerts and love getting ready for them too! What's your usual concert going look? :) xoxo

Kiko Haul!

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days but I've been super busy. I was in Oberhausen over the weekend visiting friends for Karneval, like I explained in my previous post! Whilst I was in Oberhausen, I nipped in to Kiko as I don't live near one and wanted a little nosey at what they had in store, as it's one of my favourite make up brands!

For those that don't know, Kiko is an Italian make up brand with stores all over mainland Europe, they even have a few in London. I'll link the website below so you can check out your local store and their online shop!

I didn't pick up too much but what I did get, I'm super impressed with. The first item I got was the Luscious Cream Lipstick in the shade, 517. It's a gorgeous bright pink shade and I thought it would be perfect for Summer (pictured at the top). The texture is really creamy and moisturising to the lips and it leaves a really pretty and slightly glossy finish. This was really reasonably priced at 6.90 euros.

The second thing I picked up was this tin (pictured above) that can be used as both a lip balm and a blusher. It's a creamy texture and is in the shade 100 Intuition Peach. As you can see above, it is a really pretty peachy pink, perfect for Spring. It's not too thick to apply and is really long lasting. I've only used it as a blusher so far but it's my new favourite product. This was priced at 5.90 euros.

The last thing I got was this lipstick which reminded me of the Revlon matte balms. It's a bright peachy red colour and completely matte. If you have dry lips, I would recommend using vaseline or a lip balm with this as I imagine it could be drying to those who are prone to drier lips. It's really well pigmented and was a bargain at 6.90 euros - a tiny bit cheaper than the Revlon matte balms and equally as good!

If you're interested in checking out more of Kiko's products, click here to visit their website! It's a really great brand and I would highly recommend them for good affordable make up!

I won't be posting now till probably Friday as I'm going to see Tom Odell tomorrow (so excited!!) and then am flying home Thursday for a few days, yay!

Have you ever tried any Kiko products?
